The prompt bar

The prompt bar is where you tell your team what you want, in plain words. It is the same box on your dashboard and inside every project; only the placeholder changes to match where you are. A few controls sit around it.

Write your idea in plain words. Enter sends it; Shift + Enter starts a new line. There is plenty of room, so be specific: the more detail, the closer the result. See Write a great prompt.

When you start something new (on the dashboard or new-project screen), the send control is a Plan it / Build it choice:

  • Build it goes straight to building.
  • Plan it (recommended) has your co-founder plan with you first. See Build your first website.

Inside a project, the send control is a simple arrow, there is no Plan / Build toggle there.

The pill on the left (Standard) chooses how much muscle your team uses:

  • Standard is the reliable everyday mode. It is free and on by default.
  • Max uses a heavier model for complex builds. It is a Pro feature and spends credits faster; on a free plan, choosing it offers an upgrade.

This is a quality choice, not a different way of chatting.

The paperclip attaches images and documents (you can also drag and drop, or paste). Thumbnails appear under the box; remove any with the .

Inside a project, type @ to reference a file you have added. There are no slash commands.

If your browser supports it, a microphone turns speech into text: tap it, speak, tap again to stop.

The arrow sends; it stays greyed until you have typed something. While your team is working, it turns into a Stop button so you can halt a run.

  • The send arrow stays greyed. The box is empty. Type something first.
  • No Plan it / Build it button. You are inside a project; that choice only lives on the new-project screen.
  • No microphone. Your browser does not support voice input (Brave is not supported).
  • Max is locked. It is a Pro feature. Upgrade, or stay on Standard.
